On May 14th, 2024, the Temple of Uxbridge Lodge members rolled up their sleeves and organised a grand pilgrimage to the Provincial AGM at the historic Freemasons Hall on Great Queen Street, London. Their mission? To cheer on W. Bro. Ricky Hartland as he snagged his first appointment as Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon (PPJGD), and to give a hearty round of applause to W. Bro. Nathan Clarke, who was reappointed as an Active Provincial Grand Steward (ProvGStwd). Talk about a double win!
The place was buzzing with excitement as around 800 brethren from every corner of the Province gathered for what turned out to be a truly spectacular day. It felt like the Oscars of the Masonic world, minus the red carpet but with plenty of star power.
Representing the Lodge with pride, our freshest Master Mason, Bro. Arthur Stone, marched in with a spring in his step, carrying our Lodge banner high. He was joined by a parade of fellow Masons from other lodges, all showing off their banners with a sense of pride that would make a peacock jealous.Once everyone had settled into their seats, the Pro Provincial Grand Master RW Bro David Allan made his grand entrance, accompanied by members of the executive and the esteemed members of Grand Lodge. With great pomp and circumstance, they officially opened the Grand Lodge in due form.
The festivities didn’t end there! After the formalities, while the official dining took place in the Grand Connaught Rooms, most of the Temple of Uxbridge crew decided to keep things cozy at the Union Jack Club. There, they enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and perhaps a few too many toasts to the day’s successes.
